Formation of Trust

Havyaka Welfare trust was formed in 1964 (Then it was called Havyaka) by 10 enthusiastic Havyakas who had the vision of uniting Havyakas of Mumbai, preserving our ethos and providing social service.

Mile Stone -
1300 Members

Over the years the Trust has not only fulfilled the above objectives but has also expanded its activities and strengthened the Havyaka community by lending its helping hand to those who are in need.

Today HWT has members about 1300 who are not only residing in India but spread all over India and different parts of the world.

Capital Investment

In the year 1990 the Trust has acquired a Flat admeasuring around 700 sq.ft. in Kalina and two Flats admeasuring around 1,000 sq.ft.at Dombivli. The Trust has its office at Kalina and Managing Committee meetings are held regularly at this place. The Trust is successfully running Medical Centre at Dombivli Flats wherein the medical facilities are provided to the general public at concessional rate. The above mentioned flats are also used for providing accommodation facilities to the bachelors at concessional rates.

Land Acquired for
Future Projects

The Trust has acquired plot at Dombivli wherein it proposes to construct Havyaka Bhavana and Old Age Home. It has already acquired Dhyanamandir in the said plot, which is used for renting out and the income earned is used for welfare activities.


The Trust is given scholarship to those students who perform well in their respective Board/University examination in appreciation of their achievement.

Educational Aid

The Trust is giving Educational Aid to the needy and deserving students who are residing not only in Mumbai but also in other remote parts of Karnataka and Maharashtra.

World Convention

The Trust has successfully conducted Women World Convention at Sirsi in December, 2007 which was a grand success and applauded by one and all. It has also collected donations on t he said occasion which is earmarked for the welfare of girls/women.

Fund Raising -
Rs.25 lakhs

The Trust has also raised funds of Rs.25.00 lacs in the mega Event “Johny Lever Show” held at Shanmukhananda Hall in the year 2006.


The Trust is also successfully conducting Karki Venkataramana Shastri Suri Programme and Women Convention every year.
